The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital is the only hospital in the area which offers diagnostic and interventional cardiac services. Our Cardiac Services team offers patients from the greater Sunshine Coast region a very high level of care. We have two dedicated Cardiovascular Theatres, a Critical Care service which includes Intensive Care services, all supported by highly qualified specialist cardiologists and electrophysiologists, an intensivist service, a 24-hour Resident Medical Officer service and specially-trained nursing staff. The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital also has all the necessary diagnostic imagery technology onsite, including ultrasound, X-rays, 16-slice CT scans and magnetic resonance imagery. This means that most patients will no longer need to travel to Brisbane for cardiac services.
